Schools provide students with structured knowledge across mathematics, languages, science, the humanities and many other subjects. Over years of education, students are continually asked to understand new material, remember it, practise it, revise it, complete assignments and prepare for exams. The same lesson and the same amount of study time can lead to very different outcomes for different students. How a student approaches learning, organises their work and responds to difficulties all influence how well that knowledge is absorbed, retained and eventually used.
CanTabX helps students begin from their own experience. They can understand where they currently stand, try methods that fit the task in front of them, observe what happens and keep a record of that process. Over time, the ways of learning that suit them best can become clearer.
Every student learns differently. Two students can attend the same lesson, complete the same assignment and spend the same amount of time revising, yet encounter very different difficulties and achieve very different results. Some problems are obvious straight away. Others only become visible after the same pattern has appeared repeatedly over time.
